Analysis
This substitute resolution amends Common Council File Number 231102 accepting and funding the 2024 STD Infertility Prevention Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The amendment reduces total funding for the 2024 grant. The purpose of the grant is reducing the incidence and fertility complications of sexually transmitted diseases in Milwaukee through preventive health education services and focused disease intervention activities.

Whereas, Common Council File Number 231102 authorized the Health Department to accept and fund the 2024 STD Infertility Prevention grant for the purpose of reducing the incidence and fertility complications of sexually transmitted diseases in Milwaukee; and
Whereas, this grant provided for a grantor share total of $273,362, and a City share total of $0; and
Whereas, the Grantor share for this program is reduced by $112,445, and total cost is reduced by $112,445; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81-5c; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Amend the budgeted funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2024 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled STD AAPPS/Infertility Prevention 2024:
