A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2021 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.
Analysis
This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:
All Departments, Comptroller, Fire and Police Commission, Health Department, Department of Public Works (Operations Division, Sewer Maintenance Fund, Water Works)

Part 1. Table of Contents of ordinance File Number 200536 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under “Table of Contents”, replace the current table with the following:

Part 2. Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 200536 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2021 - July 11, 2021):
Under Pay Range 1FX, add the title of “Water Quality Operations Manager (10) (20)”, add new footnotes “(10)” and “(20)” to read as follows, and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly:
“(10) Recruitment may be at any rate in the pay range based upon experience and credentials with the approval of DER.”
“(20) Recruitment may be at any rate in the pay range based upon experience and credentials with the approval of DER.”
Part 3. Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 200536 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 2EX, delete the title “Auditor - Senior”.
Part 4. Part 1, Section 2 of ordinance File Number 200536 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2021 - July 11, 2021):

Under Section 8, delete Pay Range 8BN in its entirety.
Part 11. Part 1, Section 9 of ordinance File Number 200536 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:
Under Pay Range 9LN, delete “Official Rate Hourly” and replace with “Official Rate Biweekly”.
Under Pay Range 9MN, delete “Official Rate Hourly” and replace with “Official Rate Biweekly”.

Part 15. The provisions of Parts 5, 6, 7, 10, and 12 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 19, 2021 (September 5, 2021).
The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.
Part 16. This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
