This resolution amends Common Council File Number 240641 accepting and funding the 2024-2026 Epidemiology & Lab Capacity grant from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The purpose of the grant is sequencing and detecting COVID-19 and contributing to research and detection of treatment-resistant gonorrhea.

Whereas, Common Council File Number 240641 authorized the Health Department to accept and fund the 2024-2026 Epidemiology & Lab Capacity grant for the purpose of sequencing and detecting COVID-19 and contributing to research and detection of treatment-resistant gonorrhea; and
Whereas, this grant provided for a grantor share total of $5,248,663, or 100%, and a City share total of $0, or 0%; and
Whereas, the Grantor share for this program is decreased by $1,328,412, and total cost is decreased by $1,328,412; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81-5c; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Amend the budgeted funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2024 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled Epidemiology & Lab Capacity 2024-2026:
