This resolution approves the memorandum of understanding settling a prohibited practice complaint made against the City of Milwaukee by the Milwaukee Police Association and Gary B. Marinelli. The memorandum of understanding provides for a lump sum, non-pensionable payment of $4500 to Gary B. Marinelli and withdrawal of the complaint by the complainants.
 
 
BODY:
Whereas, On December 9, 1997, the city negotiating team and the Milwaukee Police Association executed a memorandum of understanding settling a prohibited practice complaint relative to the reappointment of Gary B. Marinelli; and
 
Whereas, On December 11, 1997, the Wisconsin Employment Relations Commission at the request of the Milwaukee Police Association, dismissed the complaint and copies of the Order Dismissing Complaint are attached to this file and incorporated herein as though fully set forth at length; and
 
Whereas, The memorandum of understanding constitutes the full and complete settlement of all issues between the parties in the matter of the prohibited practice complaint of the Milwaukee Police Association and Gary B. Marinelli vs. City of Milwaukee, Case 407, No. 50250, MP-2838 and copies of the memorandum of understanding are attached to this file and incorporated herein as though fully set forth at length; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Memorandum of Understanding between the City Negotiating Team and the Milwaukee Police Association relative to the prohibited practice complaint of the Milwaukee Police Association and Gary B. Marinelli vs. the City of Milwaukee be approved; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the proper city officials are authorized and directed to take the necessary action to implement the terms and conditions of the memorandum of understanding; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That such sums as are necessary for the implementation of the memorandum of understanding in accordance with its terms and conditions be obtained for and charged to the appropriate departmental budget accounts in accordance with the customary reporting and accounting requirements.
