Title

Resolution rescinding various special privileges that are no longer necessary.

Analysis

This resolution rescinds various special privileges granting permission for items to encroach into the public right-of-way because said items have been removed from the public right-of-way.

Body

Whereas, Said special privileges granted permission for various encroachments in the public right-of-way; and

 

Whereas, The special privileges listed below are no longer necessary because the subject items have be removed from the public right-of-way by the owner; and

 

Whereas, For items removed from the public right-of-way, said owners notified the Department of Public Works that they no longer need the special privilege granted them; and

 

Whereas, In order to release property owners from the bonding, insurance and annual special privilege fee requirements placed on the property owner as part of the granting of a special privilege, the Common Council needs to pass a resolution rescinding special privileges which are no longer needed; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following special privilege resolutions are rescinded:

 

1.                     Common Council Resolution File Number 16831-a granted to Kroeger Building Group for a crane on the building for the premises at 611 West National Avenue.

 

2.                      Common Council Resolution File Number 17004 granted to Diamond Vogel Paints for a bridge over an alley for the premises at 3400 West North Avenue.

 

3.                     Common Council Resolution File Numbers 29569 and 29569-a granted to Joseph P. Balistreri for a covered walk for the premises at 1961 North Summit Avenue.

 

4.                     Common Council Resolution File Number 36289-b for a gas tank under an alley for the premises at 2918 West Center Street. (Said premises has been through an environmental remediation overseen by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources)

 

5.                     Common Council Resolution File Number 42362-c granted to Randy Nelson for a metal canopy for the premises at 343 North Broadway.
