Resolution relative to the application, acceptance and funding of a 1999 Private Industry Council Summer Youth Employment Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) Grant. (DCD-OEYS)
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the Office of Employment and Youth Services to apply for, accept and fund a program with a grant from the Private Industry Council of Milwaukee County in the amount of $102,701 with a city share of $7,291 (7%) and a grantor share of $95,410 (93%). The purpose of the grant is to fund positions in the Summer Youth Employment Program.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Private Industry Council of Milwaukee County for its Summer Youth Employment Program; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project/program from June 1, 1999 through October 15, 1999 would cost $102,701, of which $7,291 (7%) would be provided by the city and $95,410 (93%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Private Industry Council of Milwaukee County is authorized and the Office of Employment and Youth Services shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 1999 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects. Fund the following amounts for the program/project titled 1999 Private Industry Council Summer Youth Employment Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) Grant.

Further Resolved, That these funds are budgeted for the Department of City Development, Office of Employment and Youth Services, which is authorized to:
Expend from the amount budgeted for specific purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date.
