Analysis

 This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a project agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the revised project agreement for the construction of West Silver Spring Drive from North 68th Street to North 43rd Street, Project I.D. 2090-10-70/90 and West Silver Spring Drive from North 43rd Street to North 27th Street, Project I.D. 2090-10-71/91, with 80% Federal and/or State Aid under the Surface Transportation Program.

Body

Whereas, Common Council Resolution File Number 011166, adopted on January 22, 2002, authorized and directed the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Project Agreement with WISDOT for the programming and construction of West Silver Spring Drive from North 68th Street to North 27th Street with 80% Federal and/or State Aid under the Surface Transportation Program; and

Whereas, It is currently proposed to split the project construction over a two year time period namely (1) West Silver Spring Drive from North 68th Street to North 43rd Street in 2006 and (2) West Silver Spring Drive from North 43rd Street to North 27th Street in 2005; and

Whereas, The revised project agreement has been requested and received from the WISDOT to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for splitting the construction of West Silver Spring Drive for North 68th Street to North 27th Street under two separate ID's, namely 2090-10-70/90 (North 68th Street to North 43rd Street) and 2090-10-71/91 (North 43rd Street to North 27th Street); now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute the revised project agreement for the construction of West Silver Spring Drive from North 68th Street to North 43rd Street, Project  I.D. 2090-10-70/90, and West Silver Spring Drive from North 43rd Street to North 27th Street, Project I.D. 2090-10-71/91, with Federal and/or State Aid under the Surface Transportation Program, copies of which are attached to Common Council Resolution File Number 040642, and are incorporated in this resolution by reference as though set forth in full.
