Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2026 rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the rates of pay in the following departments:

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 250698 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 15, 2026 - July 5, 2026):

 

Under Pay Range 1EX, delete the title of “Revenue Collection Manager (2)”, delete footnote (2) in its entirety, and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly.

 

Under Pay Range 1FX, delete the titles of “Customer Service Specialist (1)”, Tax Collection and Enforcement Coordinator (1)”, “Water Collections Supervisor (1)”, and Water Customer Service Supervisor (1)”; and add the title of “Revenue Collection Manager (1)”.

Under Pay Range 1IX, delete the title of “Emergency Response Planning Director (2)” and add the title of “Public Health Emergency Preparedness Director (2)”.

Under Pay Range 5IN, delete footnote designation (9) from and add footnote designation (1) to the title of “Unified Call Center Representative 3”, delete footnote (9) in its entirety, and renumber remaining footnotes accordingly.

 

Part 6.  Part 1, Section 8 of ordinance File Number 250698 relative to rates of pay of offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 16, 2026 - July 19, 2026):

 

Under Pay Range 8CN, amend footnote (3) to read as follows:

 

(3)                      Employees to be compensated an additional 5% when assigned to the maintenance crew.

 

Under Pay Range 8EN, amend footnote (4) to read as follows:

 

(4)                      Employees to be compensated an additional 5% when assigned to the maintenance crew.

 

Part 7.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 5 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 7, 2025 (March 16, 2025).

 

Part 9.  The provisions of Parts 1 and 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 15, 2026 (July 5, 2026).

 

Part 10.  The provisions of Parts 2, 4, and 6 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 16, 2026 (July 19, 2026).

 

Part .  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
