Substitute resolution to review and approve modifications to the contract used by the Community Block Grant Administration for 1998 community development activity and to authorize execution of contracts and subcontracts by City departments.
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes and approves modifications to the contract to be used by the Community Block Grant Administration for 1998 community development activity; and authorizes the execution of subcontracts and contracts by City departments receiving Community Development Block Grant funding in 1998.
BODY:
WHEREAS, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee has previously approved funding recommendations for the City's 1998 Community Development Block Grant program, in Resolutions No. 971326, 971327, 970921, 970922, 970923, 970924, 970925, 970926, 970927, 970928, 970929, 970930, 970931, 970932, 970933, 970934, 970935, 970936, 970937 (hereinafter referred to as the "1998 CDBG Funding Resolutions"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant Common Council Resolution No. 74-92-5v, the Common Council now wishes to make certain modifications to the form of contract to be used in the implementation of the CDBG program for 1998; to authorize the execution of contracts and subcontracts by such City departments; and to authorize a cooperation agreement to be executed by CBGA and each City department which receives CDBG funding in 1998; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the form of contract for use in implementation of the 1998 Community Development Block Grant program with entities other than City departments or agencies receiving CDBG funds, in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby approved, subject to such revisions and modifications as may be required from time to time by the City Attorney; and
Further Resolved, That the various City departments identified in the 1998 CDBG Funding Resolutions (including the Department of Building Inspection, the City Comptroller, the Department of City Development, the Health Department, the Department of Public Works, and the Department of Administration/CBGA/EEOP) are hereby authorized to enter into such contracts and subcontracts as may be required within the limits of the respective approved project budgets set forth in the 1998 CDBG Funding Resolutions, subject to a cooperation agreement to be entered into between CBGA and each such City department, such cooperation agreement to be in a form meeting with the approval of the City attorney and to be attached to this Resolution prior to its adoption by the Common Council.
