This resolution authorizes and approves a contract for collection services for the collection of receivables of the City of Milwaukee.
Body
Whereas, On July 2, 2001, the Common Council passed a resolution, file no. 010212 authorizing the City Attorney to request proposals for the contract for the collection of the City of Milwaukee receivables. The City Attorney advertised for responses to the Request for Proposals for the collection of receivables of the City of Milwaukee on October 24, 2001, October 31, 2001 and November 7, 2001, in the Daily Reporter; on October 26, 2001, November 2, 2001 and November 9, 2001 in the Business Journal; and on October 24, 2001, October 31, 2001 and November 7, 2001 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The City Attorney has reviewed the four proposals received and recommends the City enter into a contract with the Kohn Law Firm, S.C. for the collection of the City receivables.

Whereas; The City Attorney advertised for responses to the Request for Proposals for the collection of receivables of the City of Milwaukee on October 24, 2001, October 31, 2001 and November 7, 2001, in the Daily Reporter; on October 26, 2001, November 2, 2001 and November 9, 2001 in the Business Journal; and on October 24, 2001, October 31, 2001 and November 7, 2001 in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and received four responses; and
Whereas, The City Attorney has reviewed the four proposals received and determined that the Kohn Law Firm, S.C. submitted the only proposal that met the requirements of the Request for Proposals, Standard Operating Procedures and Agreement; and
Whereas, Upon review of the proposals, the City Attorney is recommending that the Common Council authorize a contract with the Kohn Law Firm, S.C., commencing January 1, 2002 for a five year period; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Contract Between the City of Milwaukee and the Kohn Law Firm, S.C. for the Collection of City Receivables, a copy of which is annexed to the file, be and hereby is approved.
