Title
Substitute resolution determining it necessary to make various nonassessable public improvements at various locations and appropriating funds for these purposes with the City engineering cost estimated to be $372,000 for a total estimated cost of these projects being $6,523,000.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $372,000 with the total cost estimated to be $6,523,000.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:
1st Aldermanic District
N. 17th St. - 540 feet m/l south of W. Olive St. to 300 feet m/l north of W. Olive St. (SM495090082): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $175,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.
W. Olive St. - N. 15th St. to N. 20th St. (SM495090081): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $380,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.
2nd Aldermanic District
N. 74th St. - W. Hope Ave. to W. Marion St. (SM495090092): Sanitary sewer relay and lining. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $145,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.

N. Lake Dr. - E. Newport Ave. to E. Edgewood Ave. (SM495090067): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $303,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.
E. Newport Ave. - N. Shepard Ave. to N. Lake Dr. (SM495090069): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $82,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.

N. 25th St. - W. Wells St. to W. State St. (SM495090071): Relaying combined sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $15,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $207,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.

W. Auer Ave. - N. 89th St. to N. 91st St. (SM495090091): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $155,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.
Hartung Quarry Water Quality Detention Facility (SM493090103): (Nonassessable Sewer Fund-TSS Removal Fund -- $20,000, Additional Funds). Total preliminary cost (including previous preliminary) is $40,000. The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $770,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.
W. Lisbon Ave. (south side) - N. 84th St. to N. 86th St. (SM495090084): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $128,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.
N. 85th St. - W. Keefe Ave. to W. Nash St. (SM495090090): Relaying sanitary sewer. (Nonassessable Sewer Maintenance Relay Fund -- $12,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $122,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2010 construction season.

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
