This resolution authorizes the open advertising and sale of three vacant, tax-deed lots.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee expects the Department of City Development to implement real estate disposition and development strategies that will spur redevelopment compatible with neighborhoods in terms of land use and urban design; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends sale of the following residentially-zoned parcels in an "as is" condition with no representations or warranties concerning the condition of the properties, including but not limited to soil and subsoil condition:
 
7472 North Granville Road, Tax Key No. 109-0114-1, containing 19,600 sq. ft., $25,000
 
7478 North Granville Road, Tax Key No. 109-0113-6, containing 19,600 sq. ft., $25,000
 
7486 North Granville Road, Tax Key No. 109-0112-0, containing 19,600 sq. ft., $25,000
 
; and
 
Whereas, The Department of City Development recommends that Offers be evaluated based upon:
 
1. Future taxable value of the proposed development.
 
2. Appropriateness of land use.
 
3. Benefits to the community.
 
4. Development schedule.
 
5. Overall feasibility.
 
6. Offering price.
 
; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the above method for disposition of said lots and any forthcoming sales will be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax-deed lots pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lots are declared surplus, that Offers to Purchase meeting the Department of City Development's evaluation criteria may be accepted, and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to fulfill the intent of this resolution and any forthcoming sales of said lots would be processed in the manner described above, with the proceeds credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 0001-334106.
