This resolution amends Common Council File 001157 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Lead Hazard Reduction Grant. The purpose of the grant is to conduct lead hazard reduction in primary and secondary target areas.
Body
Whereas, Common Council File 001157 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Lead Hazard Reduction Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the purpose of conducting lead hazard reduction in primary and secondary target areas. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $3,000,000 and City share of $340,031; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $2,000,000 and the amount provided by the City is increased by $210,182; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within Project/Grant Parent of the 2003 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Funds, the following amount for the project titled Lead Hazard Reduction Grant:

Further Resolved, That the funds are budgeted to the Health Department which is authorized to expend from the amount budgeted for specified purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date; and, be it
Further Resolved, That all standard resolved clauses articulated in Common Council File 001157 remain applicable.
