Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2012 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:

 

Health Department, Police Department, Department of Public Works

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 110441 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Health Department”, amend footnote “(A)” to read as follows: “To expire 06/30/13 unless the CDC Public Health Preparedness Grant is extended”; amend footnote “(AAA)” to read as follows: “To expire 07/31/13 unless the HIV Risk Reduction Grant from the Medical College of Wisconsin is extended. A portion of the Nurse Practitioner position may be funded by the Dual Protection Grant”; amend footnote “(O)” to read as follows: “To expire 06/30/13 unless the Congenital Disorders Grant is extended. Also partially funds one position of Public Health Nurse”; amend footnote (L) to read as follows: “To expire 07-31-13 unless the HIV Women’s Project Grant, available from the Medical College of Wisconsin, is extended”; amend footnote “(T)” to read as follows: “To expire 08/31/13 unless the SURVNET ACA Grant available from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, is extended” ; add footnote “(DDD)” to read as follows:

“To expire 06-30-13 unless the Seek, Test, Treat (STT): Addressing HIV in the Criminal Justice System Grant, available from Tulane University is extended”; and delete footnote “(V)”.

 

Under “Disease Control and Environmental Health Services Division, Bioterrorism-CDC Public Health Preparedness Grant (A)”, add footnote “(A)” to the position of Health Project Coordinator - Public Health Surveillance (X)(Y)(FFF)” and amend footnote “(P)” to read as follows: “To expire 06-30-13 unless the Bioterrorism Focus CRI Grant is extended.”

 

Under “Family and Community Health Services Division, Milwaukee Breast Cancer Awareness Program”, delete one position of “Well Woman’s Program Manager (X)(Y)(GG)(JJ)(KK)(NN)”, two positions of “Office Assistant II (GG)(JJ)(KK)(NN)”and three positions of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(GG)(JJ)(KK)(NN)”; add one position of “Well Woman’s Program Manager (X)(Y)(GG)(JJ)”, two positions of  “Office Assistant II (GG)(JJ)” and two positions of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(GG)(JJ)”; delete footnote “(U)” and amend footnote “(J)” to read as follows: “To expire 6/30/13 unless the Wisconsin Well Woman Program Grant, available from the State of Wisconsin - Department of Health Services, is extended.”                     

                     

Under “Family and Community Health Services Division, Empowering Families of Milwaukee Program (E)” add one position of “Health Project Coordinator-MCHVP (X)(E)(Y)” and delete one position of “Public Health Nurse (X)(G)(E)” and amend footnote “(E)” to read as follows: “To expire 06/30/13 unless the Family Foundations Comprehensive Home Visiting Grant is extended.”                     

 

Under “Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Administration Bureau, Facilities Services Section”, delete one position of “Assistant Fleet Maintenance Supervisor” and add one position of “Police Fleet Supervisor”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works-Operations Division, Sanitation Section”, delete one position of “Recycling Specialist” and add one position of “Resource Recovery Program Manager”.

 

Part 2.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 3.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
