Analysis

This ordinance prohibits cruising on the following streets:

1.  West National Avenue between South 6^th Street and South Layton Boulevard.

2.  South Cesar E. Chavez Drive (all).

3.  South 16^th Street between West Mitchell Street and West Forest Home Avenue.

4.  West Greenfield Avenue between South 6^th Street and South Layton Boulevard.

5.  West Mitchell Street and West Historic Mitchell Street between South 1^st Street and South Layton Boulevard.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Section 101-20.5-1-b-17 to 23 of the code is created to read:

101-20.5.  Cruising Prohibited.

1.  DEFINITIONS.

b.  “Designated area” means:

b-17.  All that portion of West National Avenue bounded by South 6^th Street on the east and South Layton Boulevard on the west.

b-18.  All of South Cesar E. Chavez Drive.

b-19.  All that portion of South 16^th Street bounded by West Mitchell Street on the north and West Forest Home Avenue on the south.

b-20.  All that portion of West Greenfield Avenue bounded by South 6^th Street on the east and South Layton Boulevard on the west.

b-21.  All that portion of West Mitchell Street bounded by South 1^st Street on the east and South 5^th Street on the west.

b-22.  All that portion of West Historic Mitchell Street bounded by South 5^th Street on the east and South 14^th Street on the west.

b-23.  All that portion of West Mitchell Street bounded by South 14^th Street on the east and South Layton Boulevard on the west.
