Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2016 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes positions in the following departments:

Common Council - City Clerk, Library, Fire Department, Department of Neighborhood Services, Police Department, Department of Public Works

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Common Council - City Clerk, Central Administration Division”, add footnote designation “(X)” to the title “Legislative Coordinator - Senior”.

 

Under “Police Department, Administration Services Decision Unit, Risk Management”, add three positions of “Inspector of Police”.

 

Part 2.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 1, 2016 - December 20, 2015):

 

Under “Fire Department, EMS/Training/Education Bureau Decision Unit, Health and Safety Division”, delete one position of “Athletic Trainer/Injury Prevention Coach” and add one position of “Athletic Trainer.”

 

Part 3.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 6, 2016 - February 28, 2016):

 

Under “Library, Administration Services Decision Unit, Administration Bureau, Acquisitions and Serials Section”, delete one position of “Administrative Specialist Senior (Y)” and add one position of “Management Librarian (Y)”.

 

Under “Department of Neighborhood Services, Special Enforcement Division”, delete one position of “Special Enforcement Inspector (X)” and add one position of “Special Enforcement Supervisor (X)”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Infrastructure Services Division, Administration & Central Services Decision Unit, Business Operations”, delete one position of “Accounting Assistant II” and add one position of “Accountant III”.

 

Under “Bridges and Buildings Decision Unit, Mechanical Services”, add one position of “Milwaukee Plays Program Coordinator (.5 FTE).

 

Under “Transportation Operations Decision Unit, Traffic & Lighting Design”, delete four positions of “Traffic Control Assistant” and add four positions of “Traffic Operations Assistant”.

 

Part 4.  Section 1 of ordinance File Number 150505 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 8, 2016 - March 27, 2016):

 

Under “Fire Department, EMS/Training/Education Bureau Decision Unit, Health and Safety Division”, delete one position of “Health and Safety Officer” and add one position of “Fire Health and Safety Manager”.

 

Under “Police Department, Administration Decision Unit, Information Technology Division”, delete one position of “Information Systems Manager - MPD” and add one position of “Information Services Manager - Milwaukee Police Department”.

 

Under “Technical Communications Division”, delete 72 positions of “Police Telecommunicator”, delete 6 positions of “Lead Police Telecommunicator”, delete 55 positions of “Police Dispatcher (G)”, delete 10 positions of “Police Telecommunicator - Auxiliary”, add 133 positions of “Emergency Communications Operator II (G)”, and add 10 positions of “Emergency Communications II - Auxiliary”.

 

Part 5.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 1, 2016 (December 20, 2015).

 

Part 7.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 6, 2016 (February 28, 2016).

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 8, 2016 (March 27, 2016).

 

The provisions of all other parts of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after the first day of the first pay period following passage and publication.

 

Part 9.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
