Title

A substitute ordinance to further amend the 2024 offices and positions in the City Service.

 

Analysis

This substitute ordinance changes the offices and positions in the following departments:

Department of Administration (Information and Technology Management Division, Purchasing Division), Common Council - City Clerk (Central Administration Division), Fire Department, Health Department (Office of the Commissioner and Health Administration, Clinical Services Division, Environmental Health Division), Police Department, Department of Public Works (Operations Division - Fleet Services Section, Water Works)

 

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230641 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows:

 

Under “Health Department, Clinical Services Division, Sexual & Reproductive Health”, add footnote designation (SRG) to one position of “Public Health Nurse 3 (G)(X)(WFP)”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Business Organization, Accounting Services”, add one position of “Accounting Assistant III”.

 

Under “Meter Services”, add one position of “Program Assistant III”.

 

Under “Engineering Organization, Engineering Design”, add one position of “CADD and GIS Technician 3 and add one position of “Program Assistant III”.

 

Under “Distribution Organization, Field Operations”, add one position of “Program Assistant III” and add one position of “Program Assistant II”.

 

Under “Water Quality Organization”, add one position of “Water Quality Supervisor” and add one position of “Water Chemist”.

 

Part 2.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230641 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 9, 2024 - April 14, 2024):

 

Under “Health Department, Environmental Health Division, Home Environmental Health”, delete two positions of “Housing Compliance Officer 1 (X)(CDLD)(HUDL)” and add two positions of “Housing Compliance Officer 2 (X)(CDLD)(HUDL)”; delete two positions of “Lead Project Inspector 1 (X)(CDLD)(HUDL)” and add two positions of “Lead Project Inspector 2 (X)(CDLD)(HUDL)”.

 

Part 3.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230641 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 10, 2024 - April 28, 2024):

 

Under “Health Department, Clinical Services Division”, delete one position of “Deputy Commissioner of Medical Services (X)(Y)” and add one position of “Deputy Commissioner of Clinical Services (X)(Y)”.

 

Part 4.  Part 1, Section 1 of ordinance File Number 230641 relative to offices and positions in the City Service is hereby amended as follows (Effective Pay Period 12, 2024 - May 26, 2024):

 

Under “Department of Administration, Information and Technology Management Division, Auxiliary Personnel”, delete one position of “Systems Analyst (ERP)” and add one position of “Systems Analyst - Senior (ERP)”.

 

Under “Department of Administration, Purchasing Division, Auxiliary Positions”, add one position of “Business Analyst - Senior (ERP)”, delete one position of “Purchasing Agent - Senior (0.5 FTE)(ERP)” and add one position of “Purchasing Agent - Senior (ERP)”.

 

Under “Common Council - City Clerk, Central Administration Division”, delete one position of “Staff Assistant to Council President (Y)” and add one position of “Policy and Administration Director (Y)”.

 

Under “Fire Department, Support Services Bureau Decision Unit, Administration Division”, delete one position of “Human Resources Assistant” and add one position of “Human Resources Analyst - Senior”.

 

Under “Health Department, Office of the Commissioner and Health Administration, Finance & Administration”, delete one position of “Inventory Control Assistant 3 (X)” and add one position of “Health Inventory Control Specialist (X)”.

 

Under “Police Department, Office of Management & Planning”, delete one position of “Crime Analyst III”, delete one position of “Crime & Intelligence Manager”, and add two positions of “Crime and Intelligence Manager”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Operations Division, Fleet Services Section, Auxiliary Positions”, delete one position of “Systems Integration Manager (ERP)” and add one position of “Systems Integration - Project Leader (ERP)”.

 

Under “Department of Public Works - Water Works, Business Organization, Technical Services”, delete one position of “GIS Developer” and add one position of “GIS Analyst”.

 

Part 5.  All ordinances or parts of ordinances contravening the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

 

Part 6.  The provisions of Part 2 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 9, 2024 (April 14, 2024).

 

Part 7.  The provisions of Part 3 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 10, 2024 (April 28, 2024).

 

Part 8.  The provisions of Part 4 of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after Pay Period 12, 2024 (May 26, 2024).

 

The provisions of this ordinance are deemed to be in force and effect from and after its passage and publication.

 

Part 9.  This ordinance will take effect and be in force from and after its passage and publication.
