Resolution relative to application, acceptance and funding of a 1999 Milwaukee County Youth Employment Program (Summer "MCYEP") Grant. (DCD-OEYS)
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the Office of Youth Initiatives to apply for, accept and fund a grant project/program from Milwaukee County, Milwaukee County Youth Employment Program in the amount of $30,786 with a city share of $1,229 (4%) and a grantor share of $29,557 (96%). The purpose of the project/program is to fund positions in the City's (summer) Milwaukee Internship Program.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Milwaukee County Youth Employment Program, through Milwaukee County, that would be used for the City's Milwaukee Internship Program; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project/ program from June 1, 1999 through August 31, 1999 would cost $30,786 of which $1,229 (4%) would be provided by the City and $29,557 (96%) would be provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to Milwaukee County, Milwaukee County Youth Employment Program is authorized and the Office of Youth Initiatives shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 1999 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects. Fund the following amounts for the program/project titled 1999 Milwaukee County Youth Employment Program (Summer "MCYEP") Grant:

3. Establish the necessary City Share Project Values; and, be it
Further Resolved, That these funds are budgeted for the Department of City Development, Office of Employment and Youth Services, which is authorized to:
Expend from the amount budgeted for specific purposes as indicated in the grant budget and incur costs consistent with the award date.
