Analysis

This resolution amends the funding approved by Resolution 010737 for certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and

Whereas, The following projects have been approved for the nonassessable portion using Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund; and

Whereas, Community Development Block Grant Administration approved use of CDBG funds for nonassessable paving activity as follows:

7^th Aldermanic District

N. 25^th St. - W. North Ave. to W. Meinecke Ave. (ST21190193)(CD1150031027) File Number 990756: Concrete pavement reconstruction, replace all curb and gutter, replace sidewalk and driveway approaches where needed, sodding, and grading.  (Community Development Block Grant Fund -- $110,000)

12^th and 14^th Aldermanic Districts

W. Becher St. - The Kinnickinnic River to a point east of S. 4^th St. (ST211010170) (CD1150031027) File Number 010291: Concrete pavement reconstruction, replace all curb and gutter, replace sidewalk and driveway approaches where needed, sodding and grading. Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer such expenditures from the nonassessable capital Project/Grant accounts to the Community Development Block Grant account CD1150031027.
