Resolution amending Common Council File 970090 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Lead Research Grant. (Health Department)
ANLS:
This resolution amends Common Council File 970090 relative to the Lead Research Grant. The purpose of the grant is to evaluate which environmental tests are most predictive of childhood lead exposure.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File 970090 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Lead Research Grant from the National Center for Lead Safe Housing for the purpose of evaluating which environmental tests are most predictive of childhood lead exposure. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $7,500 and a City share total of $3,542; and
 
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $31,200; the in-kind City share is increased by $8,231; and the total cost is increased by $39,431; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the National Center for Lead Safe Housing is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to encumber in the parent accounts of the 1998 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amounts for the project titled Lead Research Grant:

This grant funds .4FTE of this position with .6 FTE funded by the Lead Based Paint Abatement Grant.
