This resolution directs the installation and construction of certain public improvements which have been determined to be nonassessable by the Commissioner of Public Works. The City cost of the projects approved by this resolution is estimated to be $3,405,000. The total estimated cost of these projects is $3,590,000.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted preliminary resolutions determining it necessary and in the public interest to construct nonassessable improvements; and
Whereas, Plans, specifications and cost estimates have been prepared for the following described improvements:
1st Aldermanic District
W. Rohr Ave. - 300’ east of N. 24th St. to N. 24th St. (WT410200606) File Number 181588: Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $0; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $75,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $90,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
W. Villard Ave. - N. 45th St. to N. 47th St. (WT410200613) File Number 190037: Relaying water main and replace original lead service. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $0; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $405,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $420,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
N. 24th St. - W. Rohr. Ave. to W. Custer Ave. (WT410200605) File Number 181588: Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $0; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $190,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $205,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
N. 47th St. - W. Villard Ave. to W. Rohr Ave. - (WT410200614) File Number 190037: Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $0; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $210,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $225,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

(Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $0; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $1,245,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $1,300,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

(Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $0; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $105,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $120,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.
N. Houston Ave. - W. Congress St. to W. Courtland Ave. (WT410200630) File Number 181588: Relaying water main. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $0; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $660,000). The total estimated cost of this project including the requested amount is $690,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2020 construction season.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works is authorized and directed to proceed with said work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Department of Public Works is authorized to use the funding as specified in the above description of work; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer such funds which are available for this purpose to the appropriate capital Project/Grant accounts.
