This resolution amends Common Council file 251845 relative to the acceptance and funding of the 2026-2027 STD Infertility Prevention Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services. The purpose of the grant is to support reducing the incidence and fertility complications of sexually transmitted diseases in Milwaukee through preventive health education services and focused disease intervention activities.

Whereas, Common Council File 251845 authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund the 2026-2027 STD Infertility Prevention Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services for the purpose of reducing the incidence and fertility complications of sexually transmitted diseases in Milwaukee through preventive health education services and focused disease intervention activities. This grant provided for a grantor share total of $93,736 and a City share total of $0; and
Whereas, the Grantor share for this program is increased by $46,868; the out-of-pocket City share is decreased by $0; and total cost is increased by $46,868; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Amend the budgeted funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2026 Special Revenue-Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the project titled Public Health Preparedness 2026-2027
