Analysis
This resolution authorizes the creation of a CLTF special fund, authorizes the transfer of up to $796,125.90 from the Common Council-City Clerk’s operating account to the new special fund, and authorizes the carryover of the special fund from 2026 into 2027.

Whereas, The Common Council would like to create a special fund account titled “CLTF”; and
Whereas, The fund will used to distribute funds that were allocated to the Office of the City Clerk for addressing immediate needs related to poverty, homelessness, mental health, public safety, family stability, and employment opportunities; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Comptroller is directed to create a CLTF special fund in the Office of the Common Council-City Clerk; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Comptroller is directed to transfer up to $796,125.90 from the 2026 Office of the Common Council-City Clerk’s operating account 0001-1310-R999-6300 to the CLTF special fund; and, be it
Further Resolved that the Comptroller is directed to carryover up to $796,125.90 from the 2026 CLTF special fund to the 2027 CLTF special fund.
