Analysis
This ordinance requires commercial premises with outdoor lighting to keep their outdoor lighting on while they are open for business during post-sundown hours.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 105-92 of the code is created to read:
105-92. Commercial Premises Outdoor Lighting Requirement
1. REQUIREMENT. Any commercial premises with outdoor lighting shall keep its outdoor lightning illuminated for all post-sundown hours during which the premise is open for business.
2. PENALTY. Any business owner or license holder who violates this section shall be subject to a forfeiture of not less than $100 nor more than $500 together with the cost of prosecution, and in default thereof, may be imprisoned as provided by law.
