PURPOSE: To promote and increase tourism and convention activities in the metropolitan Milwaukee area:
COMPOSITION: Eight City representatives: four are nominated to the board by the Mayor and four by the Common Council President. Members serve two-year terms expiring at the commencement of a new Common Council term, and then on the third Tuesday of April, two years following the commencement of a term. All City nominations must be made no later than 60 days following the expiration of a term. If a vacancy occurs, a replacement must be nominated no later than 60 days after the vacancy occurs. Appointments to this body do not require Common Council confirmation.
A member continues to serve after the completion of his or her term until reappointed or until a successor has been appointed.
