No. 116-136) for Community Development Block Grant-CV, Emergency Solutions Grant-CV and Housing Opportunity for Persons With AIDS-CV from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Grants Administration.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Community Development Grants Administration to amend its 2019 Annual Action Plan with the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the City of Milwaukee’s Community Development entitlement funds. In addition, this resolution designates the Mayor as the authorized representative for the consolidated community development entitlement, approves the certifications required by the Department of Housing and Urban Development and authorizes the Community Development Grants Administration to execute and implement the projects to be designated in the Annual Action Plan and all amendments.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has been allocated supplemental funding through the CARES Act for Community Development entitlement funding for 2020 of $14,502,452 which includes CDBG-CV funding at $9,574,616, ESG-CV funding at $4,785,445 and HOPWA-CV funding at $142,391; and

Whereas, There is no local share required for this grant program; and

Whereas, The activities designated for funds are listed in Attachment A; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Community Development Grants Administration (CDGA) is hereby authorized to submit to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development an amended 2019 Annual Action Plan as a part of the acceptance of Community Development Entitlement funding available under the (“CARES Act”) (Pub.
