Analysis
This resolution authorizes engineering studies on projects which by City Charter are nonassessable. After design plans and estimates of costs have been prepared, a resolution authorizing construction will be submitted to the Common Council. The City cost for engineering these projects is estimated to be $304,000 with the total cost estimated to be $8,488,677.44; and, directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds and set up appropriate accounts for preliminary engineering for the projects (listed below) with Federal/State Aid.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it is necessary and in the public interest to do the following described improvements according to City specifications:

4th Aldermanic District

N. 27th St. - W. St. Paul Ave. to W. Highland Ave. (WT410130011): Hydrant alteration. (Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 5010 -- $1,000; Nonassessable Water Fund Budget Line 6410 -- $3,000). The total estimated cost for this project including the requested amount is $40,000. This project is anticipated to be completed during the 2013 construction season.

12th Aldermanic District

S. 10th St., W. Windlake Ave., and W. Rogers St. (Intersection) (ST211130144): Intersection modification. (Nonassessable Reconstruction Paving Fund -- $60,000, Additional Funds).
