Per Alderman Puente's request, attached are
the proposed Public Safety Ordinance amendment requests specifically
relating to escalating fees/forfeitures, prohibited systems, the use of private
security personnel at commercial establishments as Private First Responders, "In
House" alarm monitoring centers, and Video Verified Burglar Alarms.
Also attached is a copy of the
informational alarm web page that is currently available on-line for citizens
that have access to a computer. This is the same type of information that
could be included in an "informational brochure" to be distributed to citizens
from alarm companies at the time of the sale.
