Hi Nik,

Two very important matters have come to my attention.

The second is the proposed ordinance regarding alley murals.  As you are aware, I am a huge supporter of these murals.  I own my house and I will decide how and what is painted on my property!  What's next?  Is the city going to give home owners specific color schemes that we can choose from for our properties?   The art in my property and in our neighborhood alleys is tasteful and really brightens up the area.  I realize that the south side Aldermen don't understand the value of public art.  My experience has been very different from the way they look at these murals.  Since the art was painted on my garage doors we have not have any graffiti on our garage.  After our second mural was completed, on the alley side of our garage, the property across the alley was tagged.  This is the first alley tagging incident we have had in our vicinity since the first art was painted on our garage.  Our garage wasn't touched.  The murals on our garage are limiting the amount of graffiti in our area and especially on my personal property.

Please let me know what we can do about the bar and please vote against the mural ordinance.

Regards,
