I want to share with you all the impact that the 1550 N. Prospect Ave site (Goll Mansion project) would have on the union construction industry here in Milwaukee. This project is estimated to cost $55 million; according to the attached third party study on page 4, for every $1 million spent on this type of construction, 14 jobs will be created. This translates into 770 jobs from this project, half of which – 385 – will be directly in construction. Per the commitment from the developer as outlined in his letter, 20% RPP worker participation would mean there are 77 jobs for RPP workers on this project. Just as important, the developer also committed to 20% MBE/DBE subcontractor hiring – this would mean $11 million in work for these contractors. I am asking that you please consider these facts as you make your decision today on this project moving forward. Thanks for your time in this matter, Ken Ken Kraemer Executive Director, CLMC 731 N.
