Prospect Avenue. The building is way too big for its lot size... The city zoning standards suggest that a building with 112,000 square feet is appropriate for this lot. This development proposes over 360,000 square feet!, much of the lot is the mansion. Why would we exceed the city's standard density standards? The setbacks are too small as well. 3 1/2 feet is not enough. At the very least shouldn’t a truck be able to access the back of the building, as well as offer a visually pleasing breath of space between high rises. Not to mention the extreme height will destroy the view that is left for my 5 units across the street and their light. Parking is insufficient. This development does not have enough parking spaces for residents and visitors. Parking is a major issue on Prospect Avenue. Parking is already scarce. Our tenants are driving already around looking for spots in the neighborhood for parking or pay $175 and up for a monthly spot which seems exorbitant. 1537 N Prospect (across the street from the Goll House) Please note that Since 1929, our family has owned and managed the acclaimed Milwaukee architect Eschweiler designed, historically designated mansion across the street from the Goll House, with 5 units, at 1537 NO. Prospect (Prospect and Albion NW corner). Without our input, the city got Federal approval to make it a NATIONAL HISTORIC DESIGNATION to show what Prospect Avenue looked like originally. I do not understand then why the city is willing to destroy the unique and historical setting of the Goll house, a mansion just across the street. this proposed high rise is way too big for its lot. It will also destroy the original settings and a mansion of historic Prospect Avenue, a view the City has already painstakingly fought to keep. Committee: Please reject the change in zoning to a new planned Development for a multi- family residential development at 1550 N. Prospect Avenue
