Jones Subject: Feedback about Goll Mansion development Dear James – as an owner, resident and taxpayer of 1522 N. Prospect, and a senior executive in a large company based here in Milwaukee, I was stunned to hear of the proposal that was being put forth for building a 26 story 202 unit building next door. The movement of the Goll mansion towards prospect and building the apartment building over the bluff represents lack of concern for the neighborhood, ignorance over the environmental problems that being over the bluff may cause, not to mention the inability for the neighboring buildings to see the lake as they had paid handsomely to be able to do. The population density, danger to pedestrians due to higher car volume in a concentrated area is going to affect quality of life here. I have no objection to a reasonable building being placed here. But this appears to be based on greed and not concern for the neighborhood. As a homeowner here, I’m appalled that such a monstrosity of a structure would be allowed to be built here. I highly recommend and suggest that the zoning not be allowed for such a structure to be built in a footprint clearly not designed for a building and population of its magnitude. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time for more feedback . I’d appreciate understanding what our options are to oppose and stop the movement of this proposal. Best, Daphne Daphne E.
