Dear ZND Committee Members:

I am not able to attend your Tuesday, September 15th meeting due to my work schedule, but wanted to 
make a formal statement regarding the proposed Faust Building development and zoning changes. 

Bay View is a very special neighborhood.  We are a small community with deep roots, and have a strong 
connection to our history as well as an eye for the future.  This proposal serves neither the past or the 
future.  The design is average, and does not capture any of the neighborhood feel.  The scale of the 
development is too big for the other residential dwellings that are currently there, and will upset the 
balance of that section neighborhood.  Yes,  KK is our business district, but that particular few blocks 
surrounding this area have well established homes and neighbors who deserve to not be overshadowed.  

As a community member who uses KK almost every day, I would like the future of that street to be one 
that is warm and welcoming.  A huge, cold, uninteresting building is not the right gateway, and does not 
reflect the charm and character of Bay View. 

We can do better.  This is one of many new developments that is in the works, and we need to keep the 
bar high.  Please vote no to these zoning changes.
