Ald. Kovac -  Here is the list of MMDEG Accomplishments you requested as background for the 2015 
MMDEG Grant file 141637 heard at Finance’s 3/25 meeting.

As Alex notes, MMDEG is a small group of 5 officers compared to HIDTA’s larger multi-level (DEA, FBI, 
Wisconsin Dept of Justice, various local departments) and seven county geographic region (Brown, 
Dane, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Racine, Rock, Waukesha).

Here are some of the 2014 Milwaukee Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Group (MMDEG) 
accomplishments.

Keep in mind that MMDEG is made up of 5 law enforcement officers (3 MPD, 1 West Allis PD, and 1 
South Milwaukee PD).

*	MMDEG identified 2 Drug Trafficking Organizations- disrupted 1 and dismantled the other
*	Investigated:

o	11 Conspiracy Cases
o	18 Keeper of a Drug House
o	14 Delivery of Controlled Substances
o	29 Possession of Controlled Substances with Intent to Deliver
o	1 Manufacture-Grow Operation

*	Recovered 40 firearms
*	Executed 49 search warrants
*	Arrested 53 individuals

Part of MMDEG duties consist of assisting and supporting MPD and other local jurisdictions, 
District Attorney’s Office, and state and federal agencies.  In 2014, MMDEG provided support 
and assistance in 208 investigations.
