From: Bohl, James Sent: Monday, July 14, 2014 9:52 AM To: Lee, Chris Subject: FW: SAM'S Club on 124th and Bradley Road From: ESH914@aol.com [mailto:ESH914@aol.com] Sent: Monday, July 14, 2014 9:43 AM To: Bohl, James; Perez, Jose; Kovac, Nik; Bauman, Robert; Wade, Willie Subject: SAM'S Club on 124th and Bradley Road Dear Alder persons, I did not learn about your meeting tomorrow at 9:00 until this morning. I understand that, on the agenda, will be the consideration of the proposed SAMS CLUB on the northwest side. I'd like you to know that I am firmly against this proposal for the following reasons: There is already a discount grocery store (Woodman's) directly across the street, The property encroaches on Dretzka Park. The noise and smell of diesel tractors delivering goods totally negates the peace and solitude of the park and golf course. There are, potentially, a number of options that would actually enhance and compliment the environment. The Park Place Office Park comes to mind. It's landscaped lawns, flora and concentration on nature would be far better than acres of asphalt parking lots. The intersection of 124th street and Bradley Road is one of the busiest in the city and is the main avenue for 18 wheelers getting on and off Highway 45. Finally, The is a very old law about land; "They don't make any more of it". Just leaving it as Midwestern prairie would actually be preferable. Thank you for your consideration.
