To whom it may concern,

I write to support the proposed development at the Saint Marks Church property on Milwaukee’s east 
side.

As an Eastside resident, the project’s compatibility with existing historical Eastside architecture is quite 
important, and I believe the proposals meet this requirement.  Equally important, as Service Chair for 
heart and vascular at Ascension Columbia Saint Mary’s hospital, I know the neighborhood’s need for 
affordable housing for critical hospital workforce. We struggle to attract nurses, techs, and young 
physicians who need to respond to emergencies within minutes, 24-7, 365, due to local housing 
shortages.  The proposed units will greatly impact our ability to house workforce just blocks from the 
hospital campus.
