I am writing to express my strong opposition to the demolition of the block of nineteenth century buildings 323 and 327 East Wisconsin Avenue, and 625, 627 and 629-631 North Milwaukee Street.  These beautiful structures have extraordinary potential and yes they are currently being underutilized. 

To demolish this chore block of downtown Milwaukee would be a mistake.  So many bland buildings and empty lots have been allowed to be created. For Milwaukee to make the same mistake again would be a travesty – and an embarrassment. 

I live, shop, dine, attend church, and recreate on the East Side of Milwaukee.  Please don’t let this happen to our downtown.
