To the Common Council,

I urge you to respect the historic designation that is in place for these buildings now threatened with demolition:

Alderman Bauman is right; these are historic buildings which should be saved.  Our historic, interesting buildings are what distinguishes Milwaukee from "anyplace USA."

Plus, with downtown's already crowded hotel landscape, this development seems highly speculative and risky. The prospect of the buildings being demolished only to have the project stall is extremely unappealing.
