My name is David Brannan.  I reside at 3665 S. Kansas Ave. in Milwaukee.  As your constituent, I would like to see you join and assist Alderman Robert Bauman in opposing the bulldozing of Milwaukee's downtown by Marriott, Wave Development, Now! Milwaukee and MBI Properties:

I have lived in Milwaukee my whole life.  I do not know what kind of characters are behind Wave Development and Now! Milwaukee, but I am well acquainted with the absentee landlords behind MBI Properties (formerly known as Marshall Block, Inc., and also the owners of Next Generation Real Estate).  When they are not in Miami, Robert Levine lives in Fox Point, and his son, Michael, lives in Mequon -- so it is all too easy for them to dismiss the endangered Milwaukee buildings as having no historical or architectural value.

Yet if I were to take a wrecking ball to their communities, I am sure that they would oppose my effort as vigorously as I am opposing theirs to demolish more than a century of Milwaukee heritage for the sake of a gaudy monstrosity and a quick buck.

Please, help Alderman Bauman put an end to this insanity once and for all.
