Subject: main points of corrective action plan for Pinnacle Security

Dear President Hines,

I want to thank you on behalf of Pinnacle Security for the opportunity to provide additional information to the Common Council during their license renewal process. With your leadership, Pinnacle looks forward to a better working relationship with the City of Milwaukee and to providing improved service to their thousands of customers who live in the city.

Based on conversations that we have had with city officials and an understanding of the Common Council’s requested improvements, Pinnacle believes that the following points are critical to the corrective action plan.

  1. Pinnacle will agree to payment of 50% of all outstanding fines for unverified calls, @ $160 per call
  2. Pinnacle will offer a 3 month refund or credit to any customer who was the subject of the aforementioned fines. (Approx. 50 customers)
  3. Pinnacle will advise all customers that panic alarms [ie., alarms that result in police being sent without independent verification that it’s a real alarm] are not allowed in Milwaukee.

4.   Pinnacle looks forward to becoming actively involved in any task force or committee that the Common Council creates to develop improved licensing practices for the future.

5.   Pinnacle will stipulate to an agreement that the company will accept service of any future citations for unverified alarms via e-mail rather than the expensive and cumbersome process that requires out of state service.

It is Pinnacle’s hope that these main points are consistent with what you and  other city officials had in mind. The intention is to include these items in a formal document and to submit that document to you and other city officials on Monday, January 4th.

If you have any comments, questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me at 414.737.9377.

Thank you and best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Mike D’Amato
