Hi Paul,

The Historic Brewers' Hill Association Board agrees with and supports the HPC regarding the property at 124 W. Lloyd.

The property owner was notified over a year ago about the COA process. Myself (on behalf of the HBHA), Paul and other members of the HPC met with the property owner late summer/early fall of last year to discuss the work the property owner had already done without obtaining a COA and this work was not up to preservation standards.

To my knowledge, since this time, the property owner has remedied portions of the incorrect work and has built a garage according to HPC standards. But the property owner has not complied with all standards and did not obtain a COA for all work. This is not acceptable.

The HBHA has supported the HPC standards routinely in the past in order to protect the historical integrity of our neighborhood. We appreciate the knowledge and expertise of the HPC.

I can be reached via email or by phone at 414-699-8841 if anyone has any further questions for me. I would have liked to attend the hearing this afternoon to represent the neighborhood but am expecting my second child any moment now. Thank you!
