From: Laurinda Cole Sent: Friday, September 19, 2025 7:18 PM To: Elmer, Linda Subject: notes on the use of Dept of Public works to assist the seizing of low income home owners Attachments: note for Dept of water hearing.pdf the rush to have the wildcat contractors to do work on my property without my authorization, and to have it added to my property taxes, was nothing more than a pressure scam to force me to sell my home at below market prices to what I have found is not just buyers outside of the city of Milwaukee, but to international companies looking to buy up homes in America. I contacted some of these companies and gave them my street address to have them remove my home from their mailing lists; they did not even know what city or state my home was in. I have also enclosed the pages from the HOMES.com site that was at my home the very next day after the wildcat contractors cut the trees in front of my home, taking update pictures for their website. What I don't understand is, if the HOME.com people had not had contact with either the wildcat contractors, someone at the City of Milwaukee Dept of Water forestry section; how did they know that the work had been completed to show up the next day to take pictures. I could not even get information on my own home, for several weeks after the work was done. sincerely Laurinda Cole
