   2. Final Report – Communications chapter

Minutes note: Evans invited Work Groups chairs to discuss their needs for the community education and outreach section of their final proposals. Each of the proposals will need to reach diverse audiences and influence social norms to be fully successful. E/O will need to provide a separate chapter outlining a comprehensive communications plan, including staffing, funding needs, and potential community resources. Shambarger expressed concern that ECO strength is in programs, which will expand with new funding. They will need to step back from communications to address program needs. Evans will draft an outline for discussion.

   4. Events a. Survey results and entry b. Updates– Event Leads ? Evans: Residential Efficiency/ Transportation ? Frank: Land Use ? Kanthi: Resilience Ambassadors ? McAlister: Commercial Buildings ? Omokunde: Green Jobs Session II c. Tabling Update – Piszczek

Minutes note: Survey results and entry Instead of the paper copy of the surveys being a back-up to Social Pinpoint, the paper version became the preferred version. Evans and McAlister determined that Social Pinpoint’s capacity for multiple entries and reports is inadequate. McAlister created a Google form to enter results; we will extract information from SPP and merge the data. b. Updates– Event Leads ? Evans held an Initial meeting for buildings. Potential partners for a Roundtable on EV and Reducing Vehicle Miles have been identified. ? Frank reported that Land Use has tabled at five events, including the Urban Ecology Center and Westlawn Gardens. They are in the process of recording survey results. ? Kanthi reported on progress with an event for Resilience Ambassadors. They will participate in the grand opening of Ground Works resiliency hub in mid to late November. This will be a hybrid event (Zoom and in-person tours) organized by Walden Productions, which has experience with the technology. The primary audience will be residents of Lindsey Heights. ? McAlister: Commercial Buildings. This group has decided to conduct public outreach after the proposal has been approved by the Common Council, so there is no work to do be done at this point. ? Shambarger reported that the Council has acted on the Modular housing proposal, and we can plan an event now or next year. He has a presentation ready to go. c. Tabling Update – Piszczek reported no changes in the schedule.
