He stated that they will not be a problem because they won't be open at the same time as the school. He added that their windows are tinted because he doesn't want anyone to break in and still his stuff. He stated that he should be allowed to fail himself, not be denied. He added that he isn't responsible for his garbage getting picked up every 3 days and people throwing garbage on the ground because his dumpster is locked.

He added that the school takes up the whole block and there are several doors that closer than 300 ft to the premises. He stated that they have received more letters against, than in support. He added that Ald. Stamper is not in support at this time. He stated that the occupancy is 15 people and there are issues with the hours of operation.
Ald. Murphy stated he agrees with Ald. Stamper and residents are concerns about the close proximity to the school. He added that residents are concerned about blacked out windows and other safety concerns. He stated that the proximity to the school is an issue and the school has after hours events that may cause conflict with the premises.

Jenna Harer 2360 N 52nd St stated she is against the premises opening next to the school. She added that the security makes families feel uncomfortable.
Sarah Harder 2226 N 51st St stated there are a lot of young children in the area and she is concerned about the traffic and parking. She added that she is also concerned about it being just alcohol.
Chris Hau President of BID 16 stated there are a lot of similar establishments, but not in the proximity to the school. He added that the applicant stated they would change their hours, but he hasn't seen that. He stated that the BID is opposed to the licenses.
Kelcey Kalumbula 2579 N 72nd St stated her children attend the school and she is opposed. She added that they're lowering their age restriction from 35-30 and she's concerned about the armed guards at the premises. She stated that the existing businesses are restaurants and are not open after 11 PM.
Glen Reinle 5033 W North Ave stated there's a lot of litter and the premises had an event and their premises allowed patrons to throw beer bottles on their lawn. He added that he had a tenant not renew their lease when the premises put their sign up. He stated that there were also complaints about noise.
Frank Perine 5035 W North Ave stated he agrees with the previous speakers. He added that people sit in their cars until 3-4 AM listening to music. He stated that he's also concerned about people parking in his private lot and the armed security guards.
