Mr. Mahan said that when department is allocating grants it requires a fiscal review to make sure that the allocated groups, for-profit and non-profit agencies are meeting the fiscal responsibilities of the allocation. More technical assistance in paring agencies to leverage better productivity of services and resources.
$300,000 allocated dollars needed stewardship for to be able to better perform with the intent of the allocation.

Proposed Fiscal Agent - Employ Milwaukee, Inc.
Create a Black and Latino Male Transition & Dual Enrollment Hub within Marquette University's Center for Urban Research, Teaching and Outreach to help Black and Latino boys and men successful transition from high school to college, high school to job, college and college to job.

Proposed Fiscal Agent - Milwaukee Health Department
Fund an intensive Trauma Resolution specialist to improve the emotional, social, spiritual, physical and economic health of at least 52 African American men by providing training on how to resolve issues arising from personal and historical experiences of trauma.
Youth Justice Milwaukee
Proposed Fiscal Agent - Northwest Side CDC
Establish and operate a Mobile Resource Center to connect boys and men of color; and young people in disadvantaged neighborhoods with resources to assist with job readiness, access to health and dental care, affordable housing, parenting skills, justice system issues, driver's license recovery, opportunities for higher education, child care, financial literacy, and other resources available to need basic needs and stabilize lives.
Also Center for Self Sufficiency, currently funded group that will be doing data analysis and working directly with BMAAC working groups.
These contracts are 2019 contracts. any expenditures that actually were incurred in 2019 will be eligible for the time of the allocation. Non-profits agencies have shown interest as physical stewards for the awarded agencies.
Mr. Johnson asked how maintained the integrity between the fiscal agency and the awarded entity, so they each maintained their mission and purpose.
Mr. Mahan said that these agencies and organizations are paired in a way that their resources are leveraged not compromising the agencies' mission nor purpose. | | | |
