Minutes note: CHAIR - This is a proposed search and screen process for the new Chief of Police. Applications close on September 11th. All commissioners have been assigned to the Search and Screen Committee and will participate in the screening. Each commissioner will review and rank the candidates individually without consultation, to be hopefull completed by September 29th. A special executive session of the committee will then be called to determine the top five candidates. We will announce the finalists to the public. Candidates will be called for a job interview before the Board which will be public in structure so the community can engage. This process will continue with two public meetings at a minimum during the month of November. Afterward there will be ten 10 days for public comment to be submitted.
