     Presentation from his Honor, Mayor Tom Barrett, relating to the proposed executive budget for the year 2020.

Minutes note: Ald. Spiker moved for the Common Council to resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole for the purpose of receiving a presentation. There were no objections. His Honor, Mayor Tom Barrett, appeared and addressed the Common Council regarding the Mayor's proposed executive budget for the year 2020. Ald. Kovac moved that the Committee of the Whole rise. There were no objections. Ald. Coggs moved that the Mayor's Budget for 2020 be referred to the Finance and Personnel Committee for its review and consideration and, further, that its report on the budget be submitted at a meeting of the Common Council to be held on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 9 a.m. There were no objections. Ald. Coggs moved, pursuant to provisions of Chapter 18-04-6 of the Milwaukee City Charter, that a public hearing on the proposed budget for 2020 be held jointly by the Common Council and the Mayor on Monday, October 7, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, at City Hall, and further, that the City Clerk be directed to publish the time and place of said hearing in accordance of the same Charter provisions.
