Minutes note: Member Richardson said that the zoning code text change is a technical correction to the use tables of several uses within the commerical zoning districts that were erroneously changed and restores those uses to the classifications that they were prior to the error occuring back to either permitted or special uses from prohibited uses.
Member Mukamal said that there should be a proper record made, either written or orally, before the Common Council to justify the zoning code text change, which makes the zoning code more liberal.
Member Mannan questioned any subsequent changes to the affected uses subsequent their inadvertent change?
Member Richardson replied that he had checked and found no subsequent changes.
Member Richardson moved that the proposed ordinance meets the standards of legality and enforceability, consistency with the format of the zoning code, and administrative efficiency subject to a proper record being made. Seconded by member Mukamal. There were no objections.
Members gave congratulatory remarks to member Mukamal on his retirement and many years of service for the City of Milwaukee City Attorney's Office and the Zoning Code Technical Committee. | | | |
