| | 3. | | Traffic Safety Initiative
Minutes note: Mr. Joe Davis, appeared before council as the Regional Program Manager for the Bureau of Transportation Safety Division of the State Patrol. He oversee 13 counties in Southeastern Wisconsin. As his division deals with Traffic Safety in respect to Alcohol, Seat Belts and Speed enforecement. Mr. Davis is in strong support of the yourth council on their recent efforts of #NoFreeRides# campaign. The State of Wisconsin is very interested in continueing to make sure that Milwaukee stays relevant with the discussions of this issue. Ford Motor Company is reaching out to the Milwaukee Youth Council to participate in Ford Driving Skills for Life hands-on clinics provide the ultimate form of training for young drivers who hold a permit or license. Flyers were distributed among the council members for them to also do outreach in their schools and communities.
Also Mr. Davis presented the click it or ticket campaign, coordinated by the State highway safety offices aimed to reduce seat belt fatalities.

| | 4. | | MKE Plays
Minutes note: Mr. Joseph Kaltenber - program coodinator for MKE Plays
The MKE Plays initiative was conceived by Milwaukee Common Council President Michael Murphy aimed at transforming 12 of the cities most deteriorated playgrounds into models for local collaboration and renovation. Through community engagement of local residents and collaboration with communtiy organization, MKE Plays seeks to improve the quantity of play, promote neighborhood collaboration, and enhance public space to uplift community self perception.

| | 5. | | Intergenerational Peace Circles
Minutes note: President Haywood, II referred members to an email he received from Mr. Steve O'Connell regarding
intergenerational peace circles for this summer in the Sherman Park neighborhood.
Mr. O'Connell is looking for ideas that would help in the set-up for the discussion ideas for the circles.
The goal is to make it relevant to the youth who would be part of the circles.
The event is in its planning stages to be worked on before school starts in September.
