Minutes note: Members Lofton, Dunn and Gambrell-Toliver attended the Milwaukee Police Department scenario training back in December; they agreed that it was a positive and educational learning experience, that helped them understand the challenges police officers faced when doing their job; they sugegested for MPD to make these trainings available to a bigger audience, if possible. | | | |

Minutes note: Based on a list of areas of interest created by members at a prior meeting, the following topics/effort have been determine to be the 2017 youth council priorities:
1. Creation of panels within MPS schools to reduce public violence, segregation and increase intergration.
2. create/implement a car theft #nofreeride and safe driving campaign
3. to repair/clean up public parks/tot lots with the cooperation of MKE plays, if possible
4. cognitive behavioral therapy
